Kia Ora bloggers, welcome to Term 4!
In today's post, I will be sharing with you an activity I had to do in class today for writing. Today we were reviewing and making sure we knew what Similes, Metaphors & personifications were.
We have 'editing buddies' who are people who we work with on writing, so we got with them and we had an activity of creating a poster about Similes, Metaphors and Personification.
I did my poster with Parwin, and we worked really hard. here it is:
It was pretty easy to do as we knew how to explain everything etc...
If I were to do it again, I would probably add more colour and be more creative with the way I did some of the sentences.
I hope you enjoyed and I will see you next time!

Hi Julia
ReplyDeleteI can see the pride you take in your work from this blog post. Your poster is very clear and well presented - I bet some teachers would love it to use as a resource!! Could you pass this onto Parwin too please because I know she worked hard on this with you...
My only helpful tip to consider would be to put similes on the left and metaphors in the middle as it then follows the same order as your title.
Reading through your blog is a delight.

Hey Miss Rennell,
Deletethank you so much for commenting on my blog!
I didn't notice the order was different, so next time I do something like this I will be sure to change that. I'll be sure to pass it on.
Again, thank you for commenting.
Kind Regards

Kia ora, I'm Zahrah. I liked the way you added them in separate parts. The facts you used are really good, I like the simile ones. Next time, you could add a colourful background.

Hey Zahrah,
Deletethanks for commenting.
Thank you for saying nice words about this. I will be sure to change up the background a little bit next time, I'm sure then it will be a little more eye catching.
If you had my poster, what else would you add?
Again, thanks for the comment.
Kind Regards
Julia
