On Monday the 2nd week of term 4 My class went fishing. Our class had been growing Salmon since eggs and let them free art The Groynes. We also went fishing here is a picture of me holding a fish and another picture with Brayden and me holding the fish too.

My birthday Recount

My Birthday

I have been learning on how to write a recount. Kauri (my class) have been working on our paragraphs and punctuation. Each of us had a buddy conference with somebody else. My awesome and fantastic recount is about My birthday Party at Mega Air.

My Birthday Was awesome. About a month ago on Saturday me and some of my friends ( Lauren, Catie, Tessa, Abigail, Timothy, Parwin, Jedi, Billie, Jacob and Johnny) came to Mega Air with Me to help me enjoy my ninth Birthday, all of us went to Mega Air because it was my Birthday Party. Mega Air is a Trampoline place.

Mum and I picked Catie up because her family was having a garage sale, so when we got to Mega Air we went to the front desk and the woman there showed us our party room. I felt really Excited but we were waiting for ten minutes and I am not patient so it was boring.

After people had arrived we watched a safety video and all of the rules for when you are jumping. Since mum had booked a party room all of my friends didn’t have to put our shoes in cubbies where you would normally put them.

When the Video finished we finally got to bounce. My friend Lauren (from trampolining) and I were doing barani’s and full twist barani’s and it was fun. Some of my friends came with me to the foam pit where we did tons of things. On the tumbling track I was doing front handsprings and front tucks. Then there was a game of dodgeball and all of my friends came in, the two boys were on one side ( my brother and his friend ) and my friends and I were on the other side. There was other people we didn’t know too. Then we went to a place in Mega Air which I think is called The Alps, where you jump higher and higher and higher. Then we bounced for a bit more and we had to go to the party room after a bit.

Before we went to the party room we made sure we had everyone when we got in we had yummy and scrumptious food. Then we  opened my awesome presents and had cake, some people had to leave early which I didn’t like but that’s life. We got kicked out of the room too soon then everyone got collected. Catie and I got to go to billie’s house after.

Finally in the end, the day was deliciously awesome. I loved my presents and I loved jumping and doing tricks. After all my number one favourite thing was getting to hang out with my friends.

1st Week of term 4

It is the first week of term four and this friday is Pet day. This year I am bringing my two guinea pigs Natalie and Star. My little brother Johnny is entering in with me.

 In week two the school is having an athletics day where we compete in Long Jump, High Jump, Sprints, Relays, Discus and Shot Put, last year i got the record for eight year old girls in Long jump.

All about the attitude

This is My folk dance with a couple of friends ( we're the ones on the right ).

It is called all about the attitude. We made this Folk dance by ourselves after we got taught multiple dances by our teacher Mr.M . Hope you enjoy:)

My Amazing Writing

The chase begins

A bakery in Turkey that mistook rat poison for for yeast made bread yesterday that killed one of it’s customers and put 25 in hospital. The poison has been left next to sacks of flour. Later on in the week, the rat poison  got mistaken again and put another 15 people in hospital.We have been investigating into the case more and more.

And it turns out it is someone who hates working there doing it on purpose.Later on in the week, the rat poison exploded into gas and 10 of the workers dropped dead

Then the rest of the people got evacuated. Later that day we came in to investigate.The next  day there were tons of police wondering what had happened.

Then someone came and told the police

what had happened and they were on the case

Then they found out who the criminal was.

Then they were on the hunt to find this stinky man

Most Amazing Maths

2 of my Monday Journal's

Term 1, Week 5

In the weekend I went a Chinese lantern festival in the evening, the lanterns were spectacular. While I was there I had some noodles and some doughnuts. I got this hat that was weaved and was pointed on the top.

And my brother John got an orange sun shade. There was candyfloss and I wanted some but the line was massive so I couldn’t. Then there was this big bang and it was gunpowder. There were cube watermelon lanterns and other things hanging on the branches of big trees. There were farm animal lanterns, Chinese dragon lanterns in the water. I thought it was amazing, spectacular. I didn’t expect it to be that fun but it was!! :)

Term 1 week 7

On sunday I was super excited because we were going to the gondola.

I have been on the gondola before but before the earthquakes.

There were amazing sights to be seen upon the gondola, but the funny thing was is when you’re on the gondola Christchurch looks super flat.

It was bumpy when it started and finished because it was slowing down but I liked the bumpy bits. When we  hopped off we had some lunch and we went on  this ride about ow christchurch was made.

After we did that on the way back mum and dad went to the french bakers and got some food

It was fun.

Dear Andie,

Hi it’s Julia, (who was in your tribe) I would like to thank you for coming to camp, it was a pleasure to have you in our Tribe. Without you it would not have been as AMAZINGLY AWESOME!!

The things I enjoyed most would have to be, The Hike because it was so beautiful and the waterfall was very refreshing, Tree Climbing because it challenged me and I was scared but I did it and it was Spectacular and It wasn’t scary, I was proud of myself (for climbing the tree) and last of all I loved Orienteering because we had to work as a group and it was great.walking in bushes and working hard as a group. I can remember when you stayed back a bit to help Billie and I, that helped me alot and I can remember when you were in my group for orienteering and I wanted to thank you for that and it was very helpful, I was excited when you said yes to being in my group for orienteering.

Oh and I would just like to ask you a few questions about your camp experiences.

What was your favourite activity on camp? What did you like the most about the waterfall hike?Did you like the paint game? What was the most challenging part of camp for you? What was your most favourite food? What was the drive from school to hanmer like? I know that for me the drive was exciting because we were trying to beat the boys.

And yet again thankyou thankyou thankyou so so much!! I don’t know how else I could thankyou, but I know you made me have the greatest first camp ever!! And I hope you come to wainui camp!!
