Shark Tank Inquiry Presentation

Kia Ora Bloggers, this week I am posting about my presentation on our
classes shark tank inquiry.

Over the past term, my class has been focusing on creating an item of clothing to carry an animal in.

We had to:
- Create a plan
- Make a diagram
- Create a non-chronological report (Published Version)
- Create a presentation

It was pretty challenging to write the report, and create the diagram as it took time.
I got together with two other girls as we were all doing the same activity.
I feel like I got it off easy because of reasons, our presentation was already done.

Here is the video:

I hope you enjoyed this, and I hope I didn't bore you. Bye!

Home Learning

Kia Ora Bloggers, today's post is a home earning blog. It will be based on a picture and I have to create my blog around it. Here is the picture:

I am going to do a three or four line poem for this.

As we look at your beauty, we see the cracks of you underworld and your true colours shine through.

The pictures on the wall are no longer true, we act like everything is normal.

Our world is changing, the most beautiful days are now the worst for life.

Hope you enjoyed my poem. Thank you for reading. Bye.

Negative Numbers

Kia Ora Bloggers, this post is going to be about Negative numbers.

In my maths group over the last couple of weeks, we have been focusing on Negative Numbers.
Before we started, I knew how to add and subtract etc, but I did not know how to do BEDMAS equations with it or anything like that.

It was difficult at the start when I was doing it because I didn't understand, but after I watched a video and found the rule when using negative numbers and it became easy.

We had slides that we worked through, not all questions ended in a negative number, it varied between negative and positive.

I really enjoyed this because I learnt somethings new and it was exciting.
Here is a small DLO explaining how to use negative numbers in math equations:

Thank you for reading, did you learn anything? If you could give me any tips on how to share my learning in new ways, it would be muchly appreciated.

Again, thank you for reading,
Bye

Home Learning - Book Report

Kia Ora Bloggers, this post is a home learning blog post and is a book report.
The book I am doing is...
"1916 Dig for Victory"
by David Hair.

There are a series of multiple books about 'Kiwis at War'. I have a few books on this which are pretty awesome, and I am looking forward to reading them.

This book is about how Otago didn't have enough men and only had enough for two squadrons so they had to join the Maori and created a new team called a battalion. They had to dig trenches and build roads etc... It gives you information from one person's point of view and goes through their experience, emotions and how they got hurt physically and mentally.

This book is very eye-opening and interesting to read. It is pretty full on and really cool. I think that I would say age 11 and up is the age to read this. I would rate it 7 out of ten because there aren't many things I would change and I think the layout is awesome and well crafted.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoyed. Bye.
