Kia Ora Bloggers!
Today's post is kind of like a part 2 to Maths Week. As some of you may know, this week is NZ's National Maths Week. Because of this, my class has been doing really cool activities, if you would like to see these activities here is the link.
So, a few posts ago, I did a post about what I had done so far:
Now, I have the finished product.
There was a lot of challenges along the way, things like:
- What website to use (We used THIS)
- If I should do one activity or another
- If I should make a board game or a puzzle
Of course, I got over these and now I am with a finished product.
The process went like this:
The first thing we had to do was finish our previous math activities from last week. Next we had to choose an activity and plan in. If you were doing a puzzle/game (I did), we had to involve rules, what we were doing and how it worked. I decided to do a word search type thing with a girl called Nikita.
We came up with some math questions, then we put it into a word search and we printed it. After we printed it wo photo-copied it and let me tell you, our photocopier wanted to take over the world, (It went all weird and printed 53, *we only wanted 10*.)
This was actually fun. Then, and finally we put the original on cardboard filled it in and put the rules next to it, here is a slide, that has everything in it, hope you enjoy:
Overall, this past week in math has been great, I have really enjoyed self managing and working my way through challenges, as well as getting to see other people doing really cool things.
Next time, I think I would choose something more challenging to push myself, and maybe before I choose ask myself what would push me.
Before I saw bye, what do you think I could have done to make my math week even better? I would love to know.
I hope that you have enjoyed this just as much as I did, see you next time.
