Kia Ora Bloggers! Today I am going to be talking about Wig Wednesday as my school took part in it.
What is Wig Wednesday? Wig Wednesday is an annual event in NZ which is a fundraiser that helps spread awareness for children with cancer and to raise money for the Child Cancer Foundation.
Last year in 2018, schools, business etc... raised over 100,000 dollars for the foundation.
Did your school do this? Our school did and I wore a wig. (it was an Afro)
It was a koha donation which means that you can bring any amount of money to fund raise for this cause. Here is a photo of everyone:
As you can see most people decided to wear one and most people who didn't still bought a donation.
As a whole school, we raised $136.20 which is pretty good. Everyone bought funky wigs which is pretty cool.
