Hi, this is my second half week in my new class RIMU!! so far it has been going really well and I am really enjoying myself. My teachers are Mrs Spragg and Mrs Taylor. All of this short yet very long week, so far we have had to do swimming lessons as a class.
Rimu is a 46 student classroom so eight went to swim with Te Mahure ( the class bellow us in year groups). The water in the pool at our School was like you were stepping into a big huge pool of ice, the dreaded water made you shiver and it was a relief when you were back in warmer clothes. In the swimming lessons I was in the top group with some other people , we did Breaststroke, Freestyle and backstroke.
As a class we have been doing activities such as learning new games and Tic Tac Toe work. Now onto the Tic Tac Toe, it is where on a google spreadsheet and there are a range of activities that we can do. For example you can decide to do, Reading, Writing and Maths and this is a Self Managing activity. I did ' who murdered billy gobler' and you had to use a calculator and you had to learn tactics and it was really tricky.
Last week Mrs Taylor taught our class called Indian Tag. It is not do do anything to do with indian culture or people.
Thank you for presenting such a detailed recount of your week. I wish the weather would warm up so that the pool water would warm up. I like reading that activities are 'tricky' as this challenges you to learn. As with any tactics it is good to contemplate if you can use them in more than one situation. Do you have any tactics that work in more than one game or activity?
