Polygons!

Here is a little about one of our Maths activities this week. Enjoy!

Conscientious Objectors, 5 facts & more...

Kia Ora, today's blog post is part of one of my classrooms reading activities, our activities are based on Anzac day & WW1, WW2.

Here are 2 dlo's that I have created. My first one is about my top 5 facts about the war, and my second one is about 'Conscientious Objectors'.

Fun Fact: Goldfish helped in the war. When the soldiers would clean their gas masks, to make sure it was clean, they would put it in a pond with a goldfish. If the goldfish died, the masks needed to be cleaned again!

I hope you enjoyed reading this, I also hope you learnt something whilst reading this.
Thank you.

Home Learning

This week for home learning I will be doing an activity where I am creating a new subject.

I think I would add a subject that is just for calming down, and learning different ways to calm down, learning about the chemicals that release in your body.

I would teach this because I think that this is important as some people have anxiety or other issues that they need help with.

Thank you for reading.

A Challenging Game

Here is a Biteable about a challenge/game we did during math time. It was quite simple if you did it properly. I found the the higher the numbers were the easier they were. This makes no sense now, but if you watch the Biteable it will make sense. I hope you enjoy!

Beautiful Memorial Service

As some of you may know, last Friday there was a 'National Remembrance Service', which I, was asked to go to alongside one other person (Jedi).

It was an amazing event, and everything everyone said really made me think about the things we can do to make sure we are all equally treated, also to hear everything was really amazing and it was an honor to be there on behalf of our school.

I think that being able to go there really opened me up to everything people are going through and what other people are doing and willing to do to help.

Hearing what a survivor had to say was very touching, listening what he was saying, everything was so forgiving and kind, and I believe that we need to be kind and forgiving like that man.

Here are some photo's from the day, I was astonished at the amount of people there:

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Did you go the the service? I would love to know.

The Moon - Home Learning post

If I were to go to the moon, the two book characters I would take would be Miss. Frizzle from "The Magic School Bus" because she would make it an adventure and I would also take Luke from star wars because if we got into any trouble, he could takeout his lightsaber.

We would probably do things like collecting moon dust for Miss. Frizzle and cutting through the ground with  lightsaber.

In the end, some crazy moon creature would try and attack us and suddenly (Cue the music) The Millenium Falcon comes to save us, and takes us back to our stories so we aren't missing.

Botanical Garden - Delivering Our Response Work

In my biteable, I explain what we were doing at the botanical gardens, and what it was like. Something I would like to add is that, everyone who put artwork down is amazing.
